Day 181 - 20 Second Speed Painting Proven!

This all stemmed from a post made on the Face & Body Painters Group on Facebook:

Friday I painted 88 kids in an hour - a personal record breaker O.O
Sunday at 6:05am ·  ·  ·

As you see there were a lot of comments made and a big dispute erupted from this. A couple of people even made rude comments and called her a liar. So she came up with a contest!

Okay - a couple of people out there have been taking on the challenge of doing faces in 1 minute or less trying to get down to 30 or 40 seconds. I love that I inspired! Post some to my facebook group and I will randomly draw a name from those that post for a fun prize pack! Good luck! Oooo... to make it more fun, the fastest face gets a prize either way!

This group is intended to be a place for positive encouragement, constructive critiques of work, image sharing, classifieds, and group chatter.

I have just proven that you can do a face painting in less than 40 seconds. It may not look that great, but I have seen worse from people who shout how good they are!

So if you think you can handle this challenge, click the link above and join her group and post your fast faces and see if you win!

For more information on what was said, you will just have to join the Face & Body Painters group on Facebook and see for yourself!

Until tomorrow, SHUT UP & PAINT!

Day 180 - Week in Review

Like I said in the video, Lorie Rockwell McLelland, you will be receiving your t-shirt in about a week after I  mail it out on Tuesday, July 5th. I hope you enjoy and sorry for the delay!

To find out more about what happened with A-Amusement Performers, see the this entry http://kfba365.blogspot.com/2011/06/day-178-letter-from-amusement.html

This past weekend I attended the White Lightning Festival in Tazewell, TN. It was their 2nd year and it was not as busy as we thought it would be. I did sell a lot of hair feathers and had plenty of time to paint some more new designs on faces. In fact we made friends with a vendor who does topiaries and we turned their 7 year old daughter into a living topiary. Hear are some photos of what we did:

If you are wondering why my nails are black, there is no reason other than I wanted to do something different, just like the feathers in my hair. And if you noticed the video accidentally cut off where I got my first feather, but if you have been keeping up with my videos, then you would know I got them at FABAIC.

July 4th is coming up and the weekend promises to be really good for us in the face painting community, and on Facebook we have our Theme of the Week group which is about Independence Day and has some really great ideas there. If you have a Facebook account, you can go to this link and see all the photos others have posted: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_210996615579081&ap=1

On July 6th, I will be doing my first commissioned body painting for a person in Italy! I will post one, and only one, photo in next weeks blog so you can see what I did!

Now for some great news! The Virginia Highlands Festival is just around the corner, July 23rd - Aug 7th! This year we have so much going on it will blow your mind! You can check out my page on my website http://katmandewfba.webs.com/vhf2011.htm or the official Website http://www.vahighlandsfestival.org/ to find out more!

Day 178 - Letter from A-Amusement Performers

So I know all of you are getting tired of this whole mess with A Amusement Performers, but I thought you all should know about this Letter that was sent to me.

Here are the pages:

In this part of the letter they are telling me I cannot use what I have in court! That is total BS! As long I as provide copies to the other party, I am able to use anything! I have snapshots of remarks made by the company and therefore are admissible in court. Any statement that is made by any individual on this matter is also admissible in court and I do not have to give the other party any copies if I do not choose! If you are going to state law, you better know it first!

The other part is also BS and they know it. If you are going to upload any photos or videos to Facebook or YouTube and you do not want anyone to see them, you have the option of hiding them from the public.

FACEBOOK

YOUTUBE

I can show a few links to videos where you claim to be the only one doing a certain service, which is considered false advertising. Once I place the links they will show you what I am talking about, If the videos are removed or you cannot see them, then they have admitted they are lying and it is a sign of guilt:

Well I guess they were guilty, since I can no longer find these videos on their YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/aamusement

I guess my other videos and posts scared them into taking them down! Good for them!

Well, here is my video and blog! Does it make you happy? I don't care if it doesn't and you need to take a look at this vlog to update yourself on what I said! http://kfba365.blogspot.com/2011/06/day-174-week-in-review.html

Who was the original owner of this flyer and what was there before they cut and pasted their own information on it?

Finally, the most professional document I have ever seen come out of their company. YEAH!!

Now, unless they can disprove anything I say, I will not recant anything! They know they are in the wrong and are trying to fight me! They are barking up the wrong tree and karma will get them in the end!

Until tomorrow, HAPPY PAINTING!

Day 177 - Dance Convention and Relaxing

I was setup on the last day of a dance convention called Connected. I sold the heck out of Hair Feathers and did a few paintings on the kids there. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of photos, but what I did take, I will show in my Week In Review.

It was a relaxing day and we are now relaxing watching a couple of movies from Redbox.

Until tomorrow, HAPPY PAINTING!
